Of Vampires and Internet Immortals…

I admit it.
I’m a sucker for a good Vampire and Immortals TV series.
My latest obsession has been the Netflix series called “VAN HELSING”.
It goes far beyond the 2004 movie starring Hugh Jackman (of “Wolverine” fame) and Kate Beckinsale (from the “Underworld” movie series).

Netflix’s VAN HELSING has a host of storylines that twist and turn in every episode.
I’ve binge-watched through all Four Seasons and eagerly await Season Five.
If you’re a Vampire watcher like me, I highly recommend the Netflix “VAN HELSING” series.

Internet Immortals -

“Confederate POW and Nicolas Cage”
There are dozens of online articles that display picture of a person — oftentimes, well known celebrities — with a decades/centuries’ old photo that inescapably begs the question, “Are these people immortal vampires?”
I mean, just look at the following:
“150 y/o photo and John Travolta”
“19th century French actor Paul Mounet and Keanu Reeves”
“Hermann Rorschach, the 1900’s Swiss psychologist who developed the Rorschach test and Brad Pitt”
“Gen Douglas MacArthur and Bruce Willis”
VANHELSING, Season 4, Character’s Name is ‘Violet”
Take a close look at these images of “Violet”.

Now, comapre that with this 1980’s photo of a very close friend of mine…

Imagine that?

Believing that school was too boring, he dropped out of High School early; only to earn an AA, BS and MBA in less than 4 years much later in life — while working full-time as a Navy/Marine Corps Medic.
In spite of a fear of heights and deep water, he performed high altitude, free-fall parachute jumps and hazardous diving ops in deep, open ocean water.

After 24 years of active duty, he retired in Asia.
Since then, he’s been a full-time, single papa and actively pursuing his varied passions (Writing, Disruptive Technology, Computer Science and Cryptocurrency — plus more hobbies too boring or bizarre for most folk).
He lives on an island paradise with his teenage daughter, log term girlfriend and two dogs.
