(JaiChai) “The Man from Earth” — A Controversial Movie

“The Man from Earth” covers many provocative topics (e.g., immortality, ancient history, religious origins, faith vs. science, reality perceptions and much more).

IMHO, the characters and dialogue are superb.

When it came out in 2007, it met strong opposition from the religious sector, but has since become somewhat of a cult classic.

It’s amazing that most of this film takes place in a sparse living room; and yet delivers an excellent experience for the viewer.

I watch this movie at least once every year. It reminds me of how history can easily be manipulated.

It also shows just how fallable storytellers, like all humans, can be; especially when fueled by religious fervor.

Lastly, it illustrates how people tend to deify those who they cannot (or will not even try to) understand.

I think this is the case with all religions and the Sumerian Anunnaki myths.

Or are they really myths?

If you have an open mind, you will definitely enjoy this movie.

May you and yours be well and loving life today.
