Three or four years ago, I began publishing stories on “Publiq.com” — now known as “Slog Media”(https://slog.media/).
Back then, it was among the plethora of new crypto blogging platforms.
Initially, I enjoyed a meteoric rise of platform fame; earning a butt-load of PBQ tokens.
But two years ago, for some unexplained reason, I got de-platformed for “material not appropriate for this media”.
WTF?
Oh well, their loss, I thought. Then I promptly ghosted it.
But yesterday, I was cleaning out an old external hard drive and saw the backups of the articles I published on Slog Media.
Deciding to see if the platform was still online, I logged in.
F*ck me! To this day, my articles are still being read and rewarded.
Looking at my wallet, I saw that over the last two years of not posting anything, I had accrued a huge amount of PBQ tokens.
The only exchange for PBQ token is Ataix that I still have a neglected, active account on.
The trading pairs for PBQ are: PBQ/BTC, PBQ/ETH and PBQ/DOGE.
Guess what?
THEY ALL HAVE NO LIQUIDITY; MEANING PBQ IS UTTERLY WORTHLESS TO ME! (Deep Breath. Heavy Sigh.)
Just to see if publishing on Slog Media has changed, I attempted a post.
Nothing has changed. It’s still a horrible, long and bug-ridden user experience.
Will I try to submit my musings on Slog Media again? I’m thinking, “Unless PBQ gains any value, probably not.”
There was a “Silver Lining” at the end of this otherwise fruitless experience.
I discovered a few tokens I’d forgotten I had in my Ataix exchange wallet (BTC, ETH, DOGE, and XLM).
Promptly withdrawing them, I sold them on Binance, Kucoin and Huobi.
As usual, I squirrelled away 10% for myself — mostly in Stablecoins and corporate bonds. This is a longtime habit I learned from reading “The Richest Man in Babylon” as a youngster.
Then I put a smile on my daughter and girlfriend’s faces with a new smartphone.
Imagine that?
Submitted FYI.
May you and yours be well and loving life today.
