(JaiChai) — “Quis vincit?” at Crypto Scams…

“Quis vincit?”

(The term “Quis vincit?” is latin for “Who wins?”)

Just got another “hot tip” from an excited acquaintance who is shilling a “great mining opportunity”.

I allowed him to complete his testimonial while my mind was screaming “SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!”

Finally, when it was my turn to talk, here’s what I said:

Good luck, man. Maybe you found a legit project.

But in my experience, those “deals” are only good for the project exploiting naive crypto noobs.

Their job is to use your resources for free — for as long as they can, make you a free recruiter and salesmen, take whatever contact info and social media IDs that they can coerce from you, plus make it hard for you to earn and withdraw.

It is very easy to show any $ amount (in their coin); especially if they give you a “free” hosted wallet (translated: they control everything that you see and you’ll have no way of knowing if it’s real or not).

Again, I hope your experience is a good one.

But I want you to think about this:

If you can’t figure out how some business makes any profit by giving you free stuff, then the answer is obvious.

They are selling you, getting free bandwidth or collecting your valuable personal data to sell later.

To be sure, you will never be fully compensated for whatever you unknowingly do for them for free.

When it’s time to actually withdraw real coins of value, it’s common for a myriad of barriers to crop up.

Sometimes it’s a raised minimum for withdrawal threshold.

Other times it’s a ridiculous withdrawal fee.

Whatever.

Their goal is to make sure it’s damn difficult for you to get what you earned, get frustrated and give up.

Now I might be wrong and you found that one in a million gem.

But still, watch for any signs of the above.

And should they appear, my advice is to run away. Run away fast!

In lak’ech, JaiChai.
