(JaiChai) Meet the newest member of my family. This is “Dee-Oh-Jee” — A rescued puppy from the poor side of town.

With the addition of “Dee-Oh-Jee, that makes it a total of three dogs in the family; the other two being an adult male and female.

In spite of breeding, raising and training purebred Rottweilers in the past, all of my dogs now have no such pedigrees.

They are all rescued “Askals” — Filipino for “Street Dogs”.

Anyway, “Dee-Oh-Jee” may not realize it, but he just won the canine lottery!

He will probably live a longer and healthier life than most of the local people.

He will never experience hunger, abuse, neglect or loneliness.

If you are wondering about the name “Dee-Oh-Jee”, it does sound exotic, no? Maybe Japanese, Kurdish, or Thai? Nope. Not even close.

Give up?

Okay.

Here is where the name “Dee-Oh-Jee” comes from:

It is simply the phonetic spelling of “D.O.G.”

Imagine that?

May you and yours be well and love life today.

In lak’ech, JaiChai.
