(Jaichai) Glutton for punishment? Not really…

“Mine!”

When I told my gf I’d just joined two more platforms, she just rolled her eyes, made a few clicking sounds with her tongue and said, “Uh, huh. That’s nice, honey. Hope you have fun. BTW, how many is that now?”

That was a good question. “How many, indeed?” I thought.

Then I remembered something a mentor told me many years ago:

“Answering the “How, What, When or Where?” question is a total waste of time, money and energy if you don’t answer the “Why?” question first!”

So, before answering the “How many?” question, here’s a few reasons why I’m on multiple platforms:

  • Redundancy: Rug pulls happen. Founders vanish. Investors get ghosted. And platforms will come and go — along with any earnings left in the user wallets. (A la Weku,, Uptrennd and many others).
  • De-platforming is not extinct! It’s alive and well, just more devious and cowardly.

Currently, since Hive can’t legally de-platform me, they simply turn to their “Hive Nazi Hit Squad” led by Hivers like galenkp and spaminator.

The group swarms on my posts and tries to cancel out incoming rewards with their downvotes.

Phased not a bit by Hive’s toxic atmosphere and the perpetuation of this cowardly practice, I snicker and watch while the haters waste their downvoting power, time and energy on me.

Tsk, tsk what a shame, no?

You see, unlike other victims, my Hive rep and legacy friends’ upvoting makes their activities costly and time-consuming.

  • Portability: Skills, rep, influence, fans, etc. are portable, valuable assets unique to you; making it easier to land on new platforms at full speed.
  • Efficient Scalability:

With the exception of butthead stubborn platforms like read.cash, cross-posting is permitted.

That means your original content is written once, submitted to many and has multiple opportunities for recognition, rewards and visibility.

Residual Income: Some sites like Medium have no set time span or expiration date for post rewards; while most content goes “stale” and the post becomes a pumpkin at the stroke of midnight on the 7th to 30th day on others sites.

  • Archival Storage: Each viable platform storing your content instantly becomes your free archive and retrieval-ready resource.

Now it’s finally time to answer the original question.

(Drum roll, please?)…

Presently, I’m active on:

Torum, Steemit, Medium, Publish0x, Deso, diamonds, Bastyon, Taku, OpenSea, Creary, nftz.me, Huddln, Momint, Appics, Artfol, Bubble House, xrpnft and of course, for marketing purposes only, Fakebook, Twit-her and Insta-Flam.

Phew!

What are the two new platforms? Blurt and Whaleshares.

Recently abandoned? Voice and Flote.

Note: After Steemit was taken by Justin Sun and Hive was launched, several frontends and off-shoot platforms automatically setup accounts for the legacy Steemit members.

Same thing happened for Hive and its many frontends; all touting their own platform/community benefits and shilling their silly-sounding tokens.

To this day, I can still stumble upon an account in my name on some obscure platform I’ve never heard of, nor visited before.

That’s why it’s common for me to see those aforementioned off-shoot sites displaying my current posts and ready access to all my past content!

Imagine that? Can you say, “Another archive of my work for free and clear — with no effort?”

Funny thing.

Even with no activity for several years, my content still accrues post rewards on platforms I’ve long since abandoned.

For example, Publiq — formerly Slog Media, continues to add PBQ token rewards to my wallet. I transferred over 30K PBQ to a browser wallet.

But since PBQ has dwindled down to almost nothing, I discovered that my holdings are only worth a few pennies. (Heavy Sigh).

Submitted FYI.

May you and yours be well and loving life today.

In Lak’ech, JaiChai
