On a side note:
Yes, "fundament" means a foundation, as of a building; or an underlying theoretical basis or principle.
But "fundament" also means "anus."
And from an etymological point of view, perdikis is an appropriate word for "fundament," as it is cognate with verbs for breaking wind.
